I am a property manager of several buildings so I have experience with a lot of painters. I know what to look for in terms of quality and what kind of scams they pull. I think a lot of people overlook painting. They think it's simple and that everyone can do it. That is definitely not the case. There is a huge range of poor to good painters. Furthermore, painting is extremely important to a project because it's the final layer; it has one of the biggest impacts on the final appearance. So, forget using a handyman or a general contractor to do the painting portion of your project. You will see a big difference if you use a specialized painter, especially BKNY. Their lines on trims were extremely clean. Cleaner than I see on many jobs. On top of it all, they gave a very fair price as well as didn't gouge me on work change orders. (I know the prices of what should cost what.) You can't go wrong with this small group. They make sure that the quality is top-notch.
