I think a lot of people overlook painting. They think it's simple and that everyone can do it. That is definitely not the case. There is a huge range of poor to good painters. Furthermore, painting is extremely important to a project because it's the final layer; it has one of the biggest impacts on the final appearance. So, forget using a handyman or a general contractor to do the painting portion of your project. You will see a big difference if you use a specialized painter, especially BKNY. Their lines on trims were extremely clean. Cleaner than I see on many jobs. On top of it all, they gave a very fair price as well as didn't gouge me on work change orders.
